MPA is the sole owner of the information
collected on our site. MPA uses data collected to better
serve our members; to improve our own web content; to process
a user's request (i.e. conference registration, product
purchase, subscription service); to respond to visitors'
interests, needs and preferences; and to develop and market
new products and services.
This information is not sold or distributed in any other
manner that is not disclosed in this policy.
Information Collected From MPA Members, Conference
Registrants, and Customers.
To gain access to Members-only area on the Web site,
members and other users may
be asked
to register and provide some information. This information
is submitted voluntarily. MPA asks users to provide information
including their name contact information, and
e-mail.
Similar information may be submitted to MPA through membership
applications, conference or CE registration, publication/product
orders, and subscriptions.
Information Collected From General
Users
MPA does not collect any personal information from users
browsing our Web site. Users to the public areas of MPA's
Web site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data (see Log
Files) may be collected.
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends and track users' movements
throughout our site. Aggregate data -- such as the number
of hits per page, what pages are visited -- are also collected.
Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing
purposes and do not provide any personally identifying
information.
Surveys/Polls
From time-to-time, MPA may feature surveys
and user polls on its Web site. Participation is voluntary. Information
requested may include name, contact information, demographic
information and survey/poll-related information. Such information
will be used for improving the use of MPA's services and
product offerings.
Special Offers
MPA may send out information on our products,
services or special offers. We offer the option not to receive
these types of communications.
Use of Cookies
Cookies are files that contain information created by a
web server that can be stored on a user's hard disk for
use either during a particular session ("per-session" cookie)
or for future use ("persistent" cookie). Cookies
are used on the member's section to remember login information.
Cookies are not used to disseminate significant information
about users over the Internet or to analyze any information
that users have knowingly or unknowingly provided. When
a user registers, the system will ask whether the user
approves of the attachment of a cookie. Users may instruct
their Internet browsers to opt out of accepting a "persistent" cookie
and rather accept only a "per-session" cookie,
but will need to login each time they visit the site to
enjoy the full benefits. If the user declines the attachment
of any cookie, the user may not have access to the full
benefits of the Web site.
Privacy Issues Regarding Links To Other Sites
The
MPA Web site contains links to other Web sites. MPA has no control
over, and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content
of such sites.
