APhA/WSU Pharmacy-Based Immunization by Technicians

APhA/WSU Pharmacy-Based Immunization Administration by Pharmacy Technicians training program explores the expanding role of the pharmacy technician by providing additional skills training to administer immunizations. This two-part program emphasizes a health care team collaboration between pharmacists and technicians which seeks to improve population health by increasing immunization rates in states that allow technicians to immunize. Training Details:

Cost: $400

When: Wednesday, April 10, 2024 

Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Arrive by 7:45 AM to obtain administration kits)

Where: State Fair Community College, Fielding Building, Room 231, 3201 W 16th St., Sedalia, MO 65301

Program Requirements:

  •  Complete the 2-hour online self-study modules (must pass with 70% before you can attend the live seminar)
  • Complete the 4-hour live seminar  
  • Complete Injection Technique Assessment Exercise (this will consist of  administering three (3) injections- one (1) subcutaneous and two (2) intramuscular injections on a live person as this is a requirement for the completion of this program)
