APhA/WSU Pharmacy-Based Immunization by Techs (Virtual)

APhA/WSU Pharmacy-Based Immunization Administration by Pharmacy Technicians training program explores the expanding role of the pharmacy technician by providing additional skills training to administer immunizations. This two-part program emphasizes a health care team collaboration between pharmacists and technicians which seeks to improve population health by increasing immunization rates in states that allow technicians to immunize. Training Details:

Cost: $400

When: Friday, April 26, 2024 

Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (technology troubleshooting at 11:45 AM)

Where: Zoom Meeting 

Program Requirements:

  •  Complete the 2-hour online self-study modules (must pass with 70% before you can attend the live seminar)
  • Complete the 4-hour virtual live seminar via Zoom Meeting (cameras must be on the entire time and you must be visible)
  • Complete Injection Technique Assessment Exercise (you will need a partner 18 years or older available during the assessment to administer 3 injections- one (1) subcutaneous and two (2) intramuscular injections on a live person as this is a requirement for the completion of this program)
