Community Health Worker (CHW) Course for Pharmacy Technicians

Developed as a collaborative effort with Missouri pharmacy experts, CEimpact, and MPA, this course will prepare pharmacy technicians to practice as Community Health Workers (CHW) within the pharmacy. Students who complete this course will learn to effectively communicate with patients, identify and connect with local community resources, provide patient education, document patient encounters, and oversee referral processes, including follow-up and monitoring. Funding is Available!
Grant-funded scholarships are available for Missouri pharmacy technicians to enroll in either CEimpact course ($1500+ value). Additionally, participants opting for the hybrid course can benefit from full conference registration to the MPA Annual Conference and reimbursement for up to 3 nights of hotel accommodation at a rate of $199 or less per night.
