System for Pharmacy Health Encounters Reporting and Evaluation (SPHERE) -This system will achieve three main goals that include standardized documentation, data aggregation, and dashboard visualization of the value of pharmacy encounters. The foundational data warehouse and infrastructure can be scaled for pharmacist providers without new investments in EHRs or other expensive technology, while still using industry-wide interoperability standards allowing for growth and integration with other providers and healthcare team members.
Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) - MPA has been intensely engaged with the state throughout this process, beginning in the earliest application and planning phases. MPA has worked directly with state leaders and partner organizations to ensure that pharmacists and community pharmacies are represented as essential healthcare access points within Missouri’s rural health infrastructure. This has included a deploying a pharmacy-specific digital readiness survey, working with the state’s RHTP leadership and consultant teams, and positioning and supporting pharmacy participation and leadership the regional hubs. SPHERE has been specifically mentioned in the state’s RHTP application narrative and Regional Hub Anchor applications.
For any questions or more information regarding pharmacy involvement in RHTP, please email MPA's Director of Practice Development, Annie Eisenbeis or MPA's Director of Strategic Initiatives, Carson Von Alst.
