APhA: Pharmacists inch closer to accessing EHRs and HIEs

At Beauchamp & O’Rourke Pharmacy in Rutland, VT, head pharmacist Marty Irons, BSPharm, CDE, has made a name for himself. Eighteen years ago, he became the first—and only—pharmacist in Vermont to become a certified diabetes educator. He was also the first community pharmacist given access to the state’s immunization registry.
