- Individual Member: An individual who currently holds a pharmacist license issued by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. $250/year
- Associate Member: A non-pharmacist individual interested in advancing the pharmacy profession. $250/year
- Retired Member: An individual pharmacist who has retired. $125/year
- Technician: An individual who is currently registered as a technician with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. $25/year
- Student: A student currently enrolled in a college of pharmacy. $0/year
- Out-of-state: An individual who neither lives nor practices pharmacy within the state of Missouri. $175/year
- Business/Pharmacy Membership: A pharmacy licensed with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy or a business advancing the pharmacy profession. With the new Business Members category, your Pharmacy will become a member AND you will provide value to ALL your employees (not just one), as pharmacists (up to 9 per site) and ALL technicians who are employed at your site location. $750/year

Advocacy & Representation
The Missouri Pharmacy Association (MPA) is widely recognized for its leadership and influence in the political arena. MPA invests significant time and effort in building relationships with legislators and legislative candidates at both the state and federal levels. The Association is frequently called upon to provide testimony before committees of the Missouri General Assembly to explain how proposed legislation may impact the pharmacy profession and patient care.
Because the practice of pharmacy is primarily regulated at the state level, maintaining a strong relationship with the Missouri Legislature is critical to advancing and protecting the interests of the profession. MPA actively advocates for policies that strengthen pharmacy practice and patient access to care while opposing measures that may negatively affect pharmacists, technicians, or the delivery of pharmacy services.
MPA also maintains a state-based pharmacist political action committee (PPAC), the Pharmacist Political Action Committee of Missouri. The PPAC raises funds throughout the year and uses these resources to support candidates and legislators who demonstrate a commitment to the pharmacy profession. As a non-partisan political committee, PPAC provides members with an effective way to promote sound public policy and support qualified candidates who understand and value the role of pharmacy in Missouri’s healthcare system. During each election cycle, PPAC carefully evaluates candidates and contributes to those who best represent the interests of pharmacy and the patients we serve. Participation in PPAC is voluntary.

CPESN-MO
MPA advocates for your interests at the state and national levels, ensuring community pharmacy has a strong voice in policy, reimbursement, and practice advancement. CPESN Missouri, a subsidiary organization under MPA, complements that work by equipping pharmacies to deliver—and get recognized for—enhanced clinical services through value-based care programs, payer contracts, and quality improvement initiatives. While MPA protects and advances the profession, CPESN Missouri helps your pharmacy actively participate in the care models shaping its future. Together, they provide the advocacy, resources, and operational support you need to remain competitive, expand services, and improve patient outcomes. Joining both means positioning pharmacy for long-term success in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
SPHERE (System for Pharmacy Health Encounters Reporting and Evaluation)
This system will achieve three main goals that include standardized documentation, data aggregation, and dashboard visualization of the value of pharmacy encounters. The foundational data warehouse and infrastructure can be scaled for pharmacist providers without new investments in EHRs or other expensive technology, while still using industry-wide interoperability standards allowing for growth and integration with other providers and healthcare team members.
Missouri Pharmacy Foundation (Scholarships)
The Missouri Pharmacy Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri, and affiliated with the Missouri Pharmacy Association. Since 1951, the Foundation has supported dedicated pharmacy students through its scholarship program, helping them advance their education, expand their knowledge, and cultivate a lifelong passion for the profession. Today, the Missouri Pharmacy Foundation continues to enhance opportunities for students and pharmacists alike by providing scholarships, supporting pharmacist-delivered patient care initiatives that optimize health outcomes, encouraging student participation in Missouri Pharmacy Association activities, and preserving and promoting the rich history of pharmacy in Missouri.
